This week the Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim, Mr David McCorkell, presented two British Empire Medals (BEMs) to two worthy recipients from Carrickfergus and Lisburn respectively. Mr Desmond Graham received his BEM for services to the community in Carrickfergus. Mr Stephen Lenaghan received his BEM for Services to Adults with Learning Disabilities and to Tourism in Northern Ireland. The presentation took place in the Lisburn Senior Gateway Club, who also made a fabulous cake, topped with BEM medals. The Lord-Lieutenant and Antrim Lieutenancy join in congratulating these two volunteers on this great achievement and thank them for their service to their communities.
